Yael Stone, who was born in Australia and living in New York City in 2013, portrayed Lorna Mello as an inmate In Orange Is the New Black. Yael holds a master's degree from NIDA. Yael was fortunate to work with the best storytellers in Australia. Her experience includes behind-the-scenes work in film, television and the theatre. Yael has had a long and successful career with a thriving career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael made New York City her home in the wake of her role in the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced the critically acclaimed production. Yael was co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery promotes creative writing, and creative endeavors from the Bushwick studio.
